On Friday May 1st 2009, Yoga Sangeeta in association with Karya Sidhdhi Hanuman Temple,Frisco presented a Carnatic Musical Concert, 'Keerthana Sravanthi' at 7:30 PM in The Plaza Theater, Garland, TX. Music lovers from Dallas/DFW metroplex have gathered to experience the wonderful concert. The evening started with Smt. Kalyani Tadimeti presenting Yoga Sangeetha and its goals. She then welcomed the artists Sri Trichy K. Ramesh, Kum. Deepa Ramachandran on Violin, Sri Poovalur Srinivasan (Sriji) on Mrudangam, Sri Parthasarathy on KeyBoard and Nick Phen on Kanjeera. Our Chief Guest Smt Lalita Sheshadri who is a renowned classical singer talked about Swamiji's music and about the accomplished artists who were performing. The concert started with chanting the Raksha Mantra 'Om Aim Hrim Shreem Shiva Rama Anagha Dattaya Namaha' followed by 'Jaya Jaya Ganapathi' in the Hamsadhwani Raga. Later, Sri Trichy Ramesh rendered various compositions in ragas like Raaga varali, Mayamalavagowla, Ravi Chandrika, Kharaharapriya, Aarabhi, Sindhu Bhairavi, Sri, Desh, Udayaravichandrika and ended with Mangalam. Many music lovers turned up in big numbers for this wonderful evening of classical music concert and are immersed in the musical extravaganza. Our Chief Guest Smt. Lalita Sheshadri felicitated the Artists at the end of the program.
