Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji with Dr. Sri Sripada Pinakapani

Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji's numerous bhajan compositions have been set to classical tunes by "Gana Rishi Padmabhushan, Sangita Kalanidhi" Dr. Sri Sripada Pinakapani. "Sangita Ratna" Sri T P Chakrapani, an accomplished artist of Carnatic music hailing from the lineage of Dr. Sri Sripada Pinakapani will conduct the Unique Bhajan/Kirtana Workshop at Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple to teach Sri Swamiji's compositions as per Sri Swamiji's wish. Please make use of this unique opportunity of the workshop and below are some additional details:

  • Workshop is for everyone - Kids and Adults of any age, at any level of Music knowledge and experience.
  • Material will be provided for the compositions taught
  • Notation that came from Pinakapani garu will be given for all the compositions taught in the workshop
  • Workshop will be held one weekend per every month for 3 months - September, October and November.

WHEN AND WHERE

Classes will be held during weekends at Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple, 12030 Independence Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75035. Please see below for the schedule.

FEE FOR WORKSHOP

$40 per week for 4 hours in a month. Everyone is encourage everyone to attend all 3 months (i.e 6 sessions of 12 hours in total) to learn the maximum and FEE is $100.

About "Gana Rishi Padmabhushan, Sangita Kalanidhi" Sri Dr.Sripada Pinakapani

Sri Dr.Sripada Pinakapani popularly known as teacher's teacher , was born on 1913 at Priya Agraharam of Srikakulam district and is known for his richly creative music, melodious voice, erudition, and pristine purity of his classical idiom. A medical doctor, he is considered a musician of the highest integrity, and an outstanding teacher having moulded the likes of Sri Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, Sri Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana, Sri Malladi Suri Babu, the Malladi Brothers and many others. Some awards bestowed are:

  • Awarded Gana Vidya Vardhi by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams on August 3, 2012 on the occasion of his 99th birthday
  • Received the title of Sangeetha Kalanidhi (Treasure for the art of music)
  • Honoured with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1977
  • Awarded Padma Bhushan by Government of India in 1984
  • Andhra University honored him with Kala Prapoorna in 1978
  • Honoured with Sangeet Natak Akademi Tagore Fellow in 2011

About Sri "Sangeeta Ratna" Sri T P Chakrapani

Sangita Ratna Sri T P Chakrapani is an accomplished artist of Carnatic music hailing from the lineage of Dr. Sripada Pinakapani. Sri T P Chakarapani had the rare and distinct opportunity to be trained also by Maestro, Mahamahopadhyaya Dr. Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana and stalwarts like Sri K V Narayanaswami, Sri D K Jayaraman, Sri Oleti Venkateswarlu, Kumari Srirangam Gopala Ratnam and Sri Balamurali Krishna. He had composed music for over 125 compositions of Annamacharya and released nearly 50 compositions for Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam. His soulful rendition speaks of his multi-faceted personality. He is also known for his ability to conduct excellent workshops for musicians of all levels and abilities.
