About Shasra Linga Archana Shiva is nothing but "Satyam", "Sundaram", "Mangalam", "Dyutim" and "Subham" i.e. Truthful, Beautiful, Benevolent, Effulgent and Auspicious. SahasraLingarchana is a unique ritual that is performed to Lord Shiva by building Kailasa Prasthara (Sahasra Linga Kailasha) (The Abode of Lord Shiva with 1,116 mruthika Shiva lingas arranged in 16 avaranas and invoking Lord Shiva's energy in each of the Shivalinga's. Lord Shiva is worshipped as "Sri Uma Pardhiveswara" to bless devotees with Prosperity, Spiritual Bliss, Moksha and Shiva Sannidhya (closeness to Shiva). 1116 Shiva Linga's are grouped into 16 groups, each group containing a certain number of Shiva Lingas as shown in the table below.
