| Temple Programs - Cultural
Promoting Culture through the Arts
The Temple hosts regular cultural programs spanning classical Indian music (both vocal and instrumental) and various forms of classical Indian dance. These programs are usually hosted on Sunday afternoons and listed on the Temple calendar for those interested in enjoying the arts.
Local schools and teachers are welcome to participate in the Temple Cultural program schedule and may also request to participate during special events and functions.
Heartfelt Kudos to all the teachers and students who dedicate hours to prepare for the performances before Lord Hanuman! To the patrons of these programs - Thank you for supporting the arts and the Temple community!

The bhajan compositions of His Holiness Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji have become a favorite among music teachers. The myriad of recordings are readily available in the Temple bookstore along with the official Bhajan Book containing the lyrics for most of the melodious bhajans - making it easy to listen and learn them even at home!
The Bookstore holds books on many topics in English and numerous Indian languages with topics ranging from spiritual to practical guides for pujas. There are music CDs and DVDs which hold recordings of recent Temple discourses, the Temple Aarti, Healing music concerts, and, of course, those divine bhajans.
If you need a place to start in the bookstore, ask of our volunteers or start with Sri Swamiji's Hanuman Chalisa CD.

|Sri Swamiji Says
Share the Divine Knowlegde
We are creating some problems ourselves. You have wealth, health, satisfactions, children, wife, husband and household. O.K.
Be with God.
What are you thinking? "What happens twenty years after? Oh! I'm afraid." You are thinking and you are crying. You, yourself are making a mistake. Don't think about tomorrow. Don't think of yesterday. Think of today! Think of what's going on now.
Vigraha (idol) teaches us nigraha (control). Vigraha is an idol. It listens to our prayers and pleas. Yet physically no reaction is seen. We have to develop such a self control, not to hastily respond and react to situations and events. Our minds are constantly wandering. We eat, perform rituals, and engage in many daily activities without paying proper attention to the work at hand.
People are too proud of their intelligence and creativity, forgetting that it was bestowed to them by the Lord Almighty. We do not realize that this is a wrong thought, myth.
-- His Holiness Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji
